City of Eyota Comprehensive Plan

Comprehensive planning establishes long range goals and objectives to guide local government officials in making decisions on the physical, social and economic environment of the community.  Comprehensive plans are created with the input from broad based citizen participation and elected officials.

McGhie & Betts provided the City of Eyota with a revised Comprehensive Plan to assist the City and its citizens as they moved through the planning process towards a common vision.  From the first abstract goals to the final tangible plan, our goal was to help the City of Eyota develop a plan that will serve the community well into the future.

The Eyota Planning Commissioner’s directed the Comprehensive Plan update process for the City.  Holding multiple public workshops, public reviews of the draft plan, and public hearings, the City of Eyota collected and discussed public input on key opportunities and issues within the city.  The plan is based on existing zoning, environmental and demographic data, and citizen input as expressed in the goals and policies.
